Art Materials and Finishes

  • Museum Acrylics – The Ultimate in Photographic Art
Museum Acrylics are part of the exclusive Limited Edition Collection – Signature Series, featuring hand-signed and numbered Chromogenic (C) Prints (RA4). Created through a meticulous wet bath process, each image is exposed onto light-sensitive paper and developed using RA-4 chemistry for exceptional depth and clarity. The print is then face-mounted to museum-grade acrylic in a dust-free environment, enhancing its vibrant, three-dimensional quality. Finally, it’s mounted to a custom-built hardwood frame with heavy-duty cleats for display. This multi-stage, labor-intensive process results in a timeless, museum-quality artwork that represents the pinnacle of lens-based craftsmanship. A series of images below shows the sequence.

Metal Prints (Aluminum)
Metal prints offer vibrant colors and sharp, eye-catching images. Created using the heat-based Dye Sublimation Process, ink is infused onto durable aluminum, creating a sleek, modern finish. Choose between a high-gloss or non-glare matte finish. The image is fused to an aluminum frame for easy hanging. These prints are perfect for contemporary and minimalist spaces.

Canvas Prints
Canvas prints are valued for their painterly texture and rich finish, which absorbs and diffuses light, creating a glare-free image. Printed with archival ink (Inkjet, formerly known as Giclée printing), canvas images are stretched over a high-quality wood frame and can be hung framed or appear to float within a wooden frame for a distinctive look.

Loose Prints
For those who prefer custom framing, we offer loose prints that can be individually matted and framed to complement your décor. Discounts are available when framing loose prints through Right Angle Framing in Park City, Utah. To inquire, contact Ed who is the owner at (435) 649-3640.

Loose Print Media Options:

  • Luster & Matte: Traditional, non-glossy papers with fine-grain texture, providing a subtle sheen and exceptional sharpness.

  • Glossy: A high-gloss finish that brings out deep, rich tones and vibrant colors.

  • Art Papers: For a more artistic, painterly feel, we offer fine art papers such as Hahnemühle Photo Rag (Baryta), Moab Juniper Rag (Baryta), and textured watercolor papers.

Below: Each Chromogenic (C) print image undergoes a meticulous multi-step wet bath development process on Fuji Flex Silver Gelatin large-format paper. After inspection for perfection, I sign and number each print. The image is then laminated in Museum Acrylic and mounted in a custom hardwood frame, designed to allow the art to "float" off the wall for a striking presentation.

Competition History - Why Do I Compete?

Why I Compete – A Commitment to Craft and Growth

With over two decades in the photography industry, I’ve always sought to distinguish myself through ongoing education and photographic competition. These challenges have shaped my artistic vision and technical skill. While the path has included more setbacks than accolades, each experience has fueled my growth—and the wins are now coming with greater consistency.

I view competition not as a destination, but as a journey. It compels me to push boundaries in composition, creativity, technical precision, and storytelling. Submitting work to be evaluated by master photographers, curators, and judges—both locally and internationally—has refined my eye and elevated my standards.

Though the process is both costly and time-consuming, it’s invaluable. Awards have helped build trust with collectors who appreciate work from recognized artists. But more than that, competition keeps me curious, humble, and inspired to keep growing.
