Fine Art Collections

Artists Proof Collection

Reserved for David's personal use and display in museums, gallery showings, and conservation events. Sold to collectors on a limited basis. Each piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The Artist Proof Collection is the first Proof Print, then limited to an additional 10% of the "Signature Series - Limited Edition Collection."

Signature Series - Limited Edition Collection

This collection contains many images that have won awards on the Local, State, or National Stage. Each print is hand signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Canvas, Metal, Acrylic, and Museum Acrylic have their own numbered series allowing a broad spectrum of price points so all can enjoy Davids lenscraft.

Open Edition Collection

Prints from the Open Edition Collection have a low price point and are not restricted to a specific number of prints. This collection is never numbered, but the print may be signed upon request.

Media Types

  • Museum Acrylics: Chromogenic Prints (C Prints) feature continuous tones using actual photographic paper without the dots used in inkjet printing. All Museum Acrylics are in the "Limited Edition Collection - Signature Series." Each C Print is hand-signed and numbered, then laminated using museum-quality acrylic with glass-like clarity. The result is labor-intensive and time-consuming, involving multiple stages. Production time is typically two months from start to finish. The final result is breathtaking. Chromogenic Prints have a three-dimensional, backlit look and museum quality. The art pieces made from this process represent the pinnacle of my Lens Craft. The filmstrip below shows several 8X10 proof prints of different scenes for my examination as the first step in a two-month manufacturing process.

Regular Acrylic -  A less expensive acrylic at a lower price. This product was discontinued in 2022, but some inventory remains for sale.

Metal (Aluminum): Color vibrancy is one of the main characteristics of metal prints. Images are incredibly sharp, vivid, and eye-catching. Aluminum is infused with ink under heat using a "Dye Sublimation Process." They are ideal for modern, contemporary, and minimalist rooms because of their sleek lines, with a high gloss or Matte finish for less glare. The image is affixed to a robust aluminum frame for easy hanging.

Canvas: Known for its "painterly" quality. Canvas has texture, which diffuses and absorbs light, resulting in a "no glare" image. The image is made using a high-resolution printer using pigment archival ink (formerly called a Giclee print). The image is stretched and mounted on a high-quality wood frame. The canvas is sprayed with a UV protectant. A beautiful wood frame can be built around the canvas for a more regal look.

Large Fine Art Print - Framing: Sometimes, a client simply prefers a large fine art print that can be custom framed to match the decor. Buyers of my products may receive discounts at "Right Angle Framing," located at 1240 Iron Horse Drive in Park City, Utah. Please speak directly with Ed, who is the owner. Phone 435-649-3640

Loose Prints Descriptions

Luster & Matte: a traditional non-glossy paper with a fine grain texture, a slight sheen, and exceptional sharpness.

Glossy is a highly reflective image with eye-popping dark tones and bold and vibrant colors.

On Request: Art papers: Innova FibaPrints, Ilford Gold Fibre Silke, Hahnemuhle Photo Rag (Baryta), Moab Juniper Rag (Baryta), Rice Based Papers, Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag are just a few of the gorgeous papers that I enjoy, and select to support an image based on artistic textures and surface qualities.
