“Beautiful Dave, just stunning. Photography is often described as the capture of light, but your work goes far beyond that. You have a remarkable ability to choose compelling subjects at precisely the right moment, with just enough surrounding detail to provide context without distracting from the heart of the image. The result is artwork that truly moves the viewer. You have elevated photography into fine art.”

Majestic Moose
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
A Park City client discovered my moose collection through my website and quickly developed a special affinity for "Majestic Moose." During a complimentary in-home consultation, I presented print and frame options, photographed the display space, and took measurements to ensure the artwork would be a perfect fit. An exhibition canvas was selected for its organic feel and minimal glare.
To insure there were no surprises, I printed a sample canvas from a key part of the image along with the selected frame sample so the client could see the finished look before production. Free complimentary installation was provided with my oversight.

Robs Trail Baby Moose
Robs Trail, Park City Utah
A Florida client fell in love with my Robs Trail Baby Moose after encountering a moose while hiking during a vacation in Park City, Utah. Metal in a matte finish was selected for color vibrancy, and to reduce glare. Metal offers exceptional durability in a humid environment (Florida), making it ideal for display in a bathroom that also serves as a jacuzzi retreat.

Medusa Aspens
Soapstone Basin, Utah
The client requested artwork that reflected the mountains and natural beauty surrounding their home in The Colony, Park City. I suggested Aspens, measured the space and provided digital mockups to help visualize the final piece. An exhibition canvas was selected for its organic feel and minimal glare. A printed swatch was created so the client could see and feel the finished surface before production. A premium minimalist frame to match the decor was the final touch on an elegant art piece.

First Snow on Fall Leaves
La Sal Range - Moab Utah
When the client saw this image and read my essay about the seasons of nature marking the passage of time, it resonated deeply. The transition from autumn to winter reflected his own season of life as his children were leaving home.
The image was captured using modern digital technology, then printed onto traditional photographic paper and hand-processed as a Chromogenic (RA-4) silver-halide print using wet photographic chemistry, bridging contemporary image-making with traditional darkroom craftsmanship.
The finished piece was professionally installed in the client's Deer Valley home under my direction.

Horns and Thorns
Pony Express Trail, Utah
The client requested a western scene featuring cattle to create the "Western vibe" his daughter envisioned for a wall adjacent to the entertainment room. To add a meaningful local connection, I selected a photograph of Longhorns that I captured in Utah’s West desert.
The artwork was produced as an Exhibition Canvas which provides a nice organic feel. The client decided to finish the presentation with a custom handcrafted floating frame picked from my portfolio. Free professional installation was provided with my oversight.
